Whenever it is that they are saying, “Peace and security!” then sudden destruction is to be instantly on them, just like birth pains on a pregnant woman, and they will by no means escape. (1 Thess. 5:3)
This is the million dollar question, when is the cry for "Peace & security" and who will cry out for that message?
Tony Morris seems to be totally clueless to the timing or the people involved in that message.Can we do a little better? We surely can.
You see this verse in 1 Thess. 5:3 is not disconnected from the rest of the Bible. You see even the NWT cross references this verse with another part of the Bible the book of Jeremiah. So when the apostle Paul was talking about "Peace & Secutity" what he really had in mind was the days of Jeremiah when a similar situation existed.
We read in Jeremiah 8:11
"And they try to heal the breakdown of the daughter of my people lightly, saying, “There is peace! There is peace!” When there is no peace."
So you see how the religious leaders were crying out that they had peace and that Jehovah had inspired them to preach that false message.We also read in Jeremiah 14:13
At this I said: “Alas, O Sovereign Lord Jehovah! Here the prophets are saying to them, ‘You will not see the sword, and famine will not come upon you, but I will give you true peace in this place.’”
So the cry for peace was something specific in Jeremiah's days.On the one hand you had the religious leaders preaching a "false peace & security" to the people whereas Jeremiah was telling them what God really was warning ,that impending calamity was imminent.
So it will be in the near future. When our modern world will come to the brink of worldwide collapse which by the way it will be totally designed in order to bring massive changes and restriction of freedoms on a global scale people will be crying for a solution, I hope you can see that already in the horizon.The United Nations wants to be the World Goverment by 2030, they even have a plan they advertise heavily as Agenda 2030. That solution will come in the shape of a false "Prince of Peace" a one world ruler that the Bible in many places calls him by different names, the Antichrist, the man of perdition, a fearsome Prince. According to Daniel 9:26,27 this false "Prince of Peace " will make a covenant with the many(=and that includesthe many religious leaders of this world) , and he will violate and brake this covenant half way through that "week" of 7 years .
We read in Daniel 9:26,27
And the people of a leader who is coming will destroy the city and the holy place. And its end will be by the flood. And until the end there will be war; what is decided upon is desolations. 27 “And he will keep the covenant in force for the many for one week; and at the half of the week, he will cause sacrifice and gift offering to cease.
So this first part the 3 1/2 years is the time of the false "Peace & Security" that will be followed by the "sudden destruction" as 1 Thess. 5:3 says or as we all know it the 3 1/2 years of the Great Tribulation of the book of Revelation.
