Watchtower £222 million pounds fund grabbing in Britain

The following is an article that appeared on the 12th June 2023 in the online magazine "Third Sector" the leading magazine in Britain that deals with charities and it just goes the extend that the Watchtower has robbed the local congregations in Britain for the past few years

You see for decades the congregations here in Britain were operating as individual charities like most other churches and that afford them a certain autonomy to handle their assets. So the way it worked was that the brothers and sisters will donate every month a few hundred pounds to the Society in the contribution boxes and a massive junk of money towards their Kingdom Hall fund that was specifically appropriated towards refurbishing and building a new kingdom hall. I'll give you an example , our congregation donated few hundred pounds every month to the society every month but kept £171k pounds in the bank donated, gifted and left in their wills from brothers and sisters for the building of Kingdom Halls. Well, the Watchtower like the thieves they are found a way to overnight rob over 1200 congregations of both these money and their Kingdom Halls overnight consolidating all small individual charities to one massive called Kijgdom Hall Trust. And now you the publisher is sitting in a Kingdom Hall that your mum and dad build but doesn't belong to you anymore and all the money they separately donated specifically for their local Kingdom hall has disappeared under the pretence of relieving local elders from their responsibility to act as charities trustees.

So according to the THIRD SECTOR magazine:

A religious charity has vowed to continue to expand after completing one of the largest ever mass mergers in the UK.

The Kingdom Hall Trust has grown its assets from £9.6m to £222m in three years after it took over 1,279 Jehovah’s Witnesses congregations.

The huge administrative effort has seen the trust become the owner of 726 buildings in England and Wales, according to its latest annual report and accounts.

And the charity said it would “continue to look for opportunities to purchase new Kingdom Halls of Jehovah’s Witnesses”.

The trustees’ report said the merged trust had made more than 45,000 administrative payments since the process was completed.

It said: “As this responsibility was formerly spread across many individual charities, this is a good measure of how the trust has relieved beneficiaries of administrative processes during the year.”

The report said the trust’s total expenditure in the year to 31 August 2022 was £25m.

It added that £4m was spent on “providing places of worship for Jehovah’s Witnesses” and £6m was spent on assisting congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Over the financial year, £14m was donated to the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Britain. In the previous year, it gave £21m.

As reported by Third Sector, the mass consolidation of congregations contributed to a record 1,620 charity mergers between September 2021 and September 2022 - up from 276 in the previous year.

How are they not like Babylon the Great that they have ridiculed through their publications so many times. We read in the book "Revelation its Great Climax" chapter 33 and paragraph 24

Babylon the Great is dressed in “purple and scarlet,” the colors of royalty, and is “adorned with gold and precious stone and pearls.” How appropriate! Just reflect on all the magnificent buildings, rare statues and paintings, priceless icons, and other religious paraphernalia, as well as astronomical amounts of property and cash, that this world’s religions have accumulated. Whether at the Vatican, in the TV empire of evangelism centered in the United States, or in the exotic wats and temples of the Orient, Babylon the Great has amassed—and at times lost—fabulous wealth.
