The well known website gotquestions.org says tge following as regards the frequency we should partake:
It would seem that, since we take the Lord’s Supper to remember Christ’s death, we should take it fairly often. Some churches have a monthly Lord’s Supper service; others do it bi-monthly; others weekly. Since the Bible does not give us specific instruction as to frequency, there is some latitude in how often a church should observe the Lord’s Supper. It should be often enough to renew focus on Christ, without being so often that it becomes routine.
1 Corinthians 11:27 provides the principle for anyone disrespecting the emblems:
Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.
Apparently some had the habit in the congregation of ancient Corinth to abstain from food and wine on the day of the Memorial so that can gorge themselves on bread and wine later on at the meeting. For that reason Paul called them out for being guilty of partaking but think about the principle he introduces, anyone disrespecting the emblems is guilty in the eyes of Jesus. Now, think about the 9 million jehovah's witnesses who refuse to partake on the night, would you say they disrespect even subconsciously the emblems? Of course they do! And by doing so they fall under the same judgement of being guilty of the bread and the wine. By the way, crucially most other translations render this verse much different from the NWT. The NIV renders it this way:
So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord
Isn't that exactly what the GB does on the night? They get 20 million attendants to sin against the bread and the wine, whether deliberately or not that's not the point. Isn't that one of the gravest sins against the Holy Spirit? Do you as a Jehovah's Witness want to chance your prospect of life in the New system based on the explanation of an old fool who has zero understanding of Greek Koini?
The word used here as "guilty= enochos" is usually used in ancient Greek within a legal framework of someone who has committed a crime and that is why many Bible translators make the case that by disrespecting the emblems you are once again become guilty of puting Christ to death once again. This is the kind ofvreasoning that Paul will use again later on in his letter to the Hebrews 6:4-7 NWT
For as regards those who were once enlightened and who have tasted the heavenly free gift and who have become partakers of holy spirit 5 and who have tasted the fine word of God and powers of the coming system of things, 6 but have fallen away, it is impossible to revive them again to repentance, because they nail the Son of God to the stake again for themselves and expose him to public shame
The principle is the same, everytime we disrespect in anyway Jesus sacrifice we expose him to public shame!
