This is a follow up article to the Inner rooms of death. According to Isaiah 26:20 God has destined for his people to find safety during the Great Tribulation. We read in Isaiah 26:20,21:
Go, my people, enter your inner rooms, And shut your doors behind you. Hide yourself for a brief moment Until the wrath has passed by. 21 For look! Jehovah is coming from his place To call the inhabitants of the land to account for their error, And the land will expose her bloodshed And will no longer cover over her slain.”
Interestingly the Watchtower mistranlates verse 21 and instead rendering it the earth as a a whole, as a planet they insert the word land and by doing that they diminish the extend of the disaster being described in these verses. So if you are in doubt whether Isaiah 26 chapter is eschatological, meaning whether it is referring to the time of the end then here are your two major identifiers, "God's wrath" and the accounting with all mankind during the time of the End.
Now "God's wrath" is a very specific theological term found over and over again in the Bible and according only unbelieving humanity and not his people are assigned to expierience God's destructive vengance, we read in 1 Thess 5:9:
God assigned us, not to wrath, but to the acquiring of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
The "wrath of God" refers to a very specific time in human history where the final destructive plagues of the book of Revelation are unleashed upon mankind. No-one will be able to survive these plagues unless you are supernaturally protected or have left the planet beforehand. The only faithfull left here on earth during that time will be supernaturaly protected against these physical disasters. We read in Revelation 7:2-4:
And I saw another angel ascending from the sunrise, having a seal of the living God; and he called with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, 3 saying: “Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until AFTER we have sealed the slaves of our God in their foreheads.” 4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed, 144,000
Since only 144,000 faithful Christians remain here on earth to accomplish the final witnessing where have all the Christians gone? Into the "inner rooms"! But look how these inner rooms are not here on earth. We read in Isaiah 26:1-3:
In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: “We have a strong city. He makes salvation its walls and its ramparts. 2 Open up the gates so that the righteous nation may enter, A nation that is keeping faithful conduct. 3 You will safeguard those who fully lean on you; You will give them continuous peace
So these verses talk about a "strong city" that will "open its gates" to welcome a "righteous nation" and it is within the walls of this city that the righteous find salvation. Do not read the "inner rooms" of Isaiah 26:20 out of context like the Watchtower always does. The Bible already pinpoints the geographical location of these rooms in the beginning of this chapter. These rooms can only be found within the premises of this strong city at the time of the end, and not spread around across the over 100,000 congregations as the governing body will have you believe.
In many ways Jesus is the greater Noah, in the same way Noah protected his family a congregation of 8 souls in the "inner rooms" of the Ark so will Jesus the greater Noah will provide protection to his faithful upon his return in the "inner rooms" of his greater Ark so they won't have to experience "God's wrath" during the closing moments of human history on this planet. We read in about this greater Ark in John 14:2-4 :
In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.
So in the same way Noah prepared a place of "many rooms" for the protection of his family so Jesus the greater Noah has already prepared a place for us. The Bible doesn't refer to it as Ark but as a city.
You probably heard of the famous novel by Charles Dickens "The Tale of two cities" published in 1859 and set in London and Paris before and during the French Revolution. It is a classic novel read by millions over the past 2 centuries . In many ways the book of Revelation is the tale of 2 great cities that promise protection during the time of the End One is build by man, the other is build by Christ. The one fails miserably to provide protection in its "inner rooms" the other triumphs. Which cities are we talking about: The one is Babylon the Great the other the New Jerusalem. Now unlike the Watchtower's claims that both cities are symbolic ,one symbolising the subtotal of all false religions whereas the other the marriage of the Lamb with His anointed, these two cities are real cities, one here on earth the other in heaven. I won't argue my case about the reality of these cities on this article but if you carry on following my website I will return on this subject many times in the future. So for the time being let's consider these 2 cities are real structures as the cities we know and have lived in them like many of us today. So armed with this knowledge let's read again from the book of Isaiah chapter 26 and verses 2 to 6 about the destiny of these two cities during the time of the End:
We have a strong city(=New Jerusalem). He makes salvation its walls and its ramparts. 2 Open up the gates so that the righteous nation(=the ones in Christ) may enter, A nation that is keeping faithful conduct. 3 You will safeguard those who fully lean on you; You will give them continuous peace, Because it is in you that they trust. 4 Trust in Jehovah forever, For Jah Jehovah is the eternal Rock. 5 For he has brought low those inhabiting the height, the lofty city(=Babylon the Great). He brings it down, He brings it down to the earth; He casts it down to the dust. 6 The foot will trample it, The feet of the afflicted, the steps of the lowly.”
It is within the pages of the book of Revelation that we read of the demise of Babylon the Great as a real city before "God's wrath" in unleashed over mankind. We read in Revelation 16:19:
The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell; and Babylon the Great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath.
This is the lofty city of Isaiah 26 that will be brought low and will ultimately fail to provide safety to the unbelieving humanity in the time of the End. Only one city that stands away from the earth in heaven will be ready to welcome a faithful nation through its gates and in to its "inner rooms" and that is the New Jerusalem. How though can we reach this heavenly city since we are earth bound? We are being raptured!
This is a concept that I have mentioned many times and I will be returning many times in the future since it is of such great importance.
There will come a time right before the collapse of Babylon the Great and before "God's wrath is poured over mankind that all those in Christ will be lifted up from the earth in that pivotal end time event the Bible refers to as the Rapture. We read in 1 Thess. 4:16,17 about this event:
because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first. 17 Afterward we the living who are surviving will, together with them, be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and thus we will always be with the Lord.
This is how you enter this heavenly city and this is how you enter those celestial "inner rooms"
