The "inner rooms" of death

Updated: May 5, 2023

In the latest installment of the Study Edition of the Watchtower, Study Aricle 29 that will be studied later on this year and has the theme "Are you ready for the Great Tribulation?" we read about the elusive "inner rooms" which are a regular fixture in the Watchtower's prophetic interpretation.

For any of you who don't know what I'm talking about, according to Watchtower's end time prophetic timeline, Jehovah's Witnesses will escape the End of the World to what the Bible calls the "inner rooms" in order to survive God's destruction over the nations. This is what the paragraph 16 had to say about the "inner rooms":

will be vital during the great tribulation. When that tribulation begins, where will we find protection? Consider what Jehovah instructed his people to do when ancient Babylon was attacked: “Go, my people, enter your inner rooms, and shut your doors behind you. Hide yourself for a brief moment until the wrath has passed by.” (Isa. 26:20) It seems that those words also apply to us who will face the great tribulation. The “inner rooms” may refer to our congregations. During the great tribulation, we will find the protection that Jehovah promises as we remain united with fellow believers. Therefore, we must work hard now not just to tolerate our brothers and sisters but also to love them. Our survival may depend on it!

Now why ever pay attention to someone who claims to be God's channel of communication when they start wirh the word "may", if you're not sure about what you are writing why write it at all. But we are here to put an end to this nonsense and finally identify these elusive "inner rooms" that have fascinated for decades the minds of the Watchtower writers.

The Watchtower claims that these "rooms" are each individual congregation or groups of faithful Jehovah's Witnesses around the world, so in the time of the end hundreds of thousands of these individual congregations will serve as a place of safety from God's destructive vengeance over the nations. Please understand that when they use the term "congregation" they don't actually mean the kingdom hall buildings but the congregation with its publishers, the pioneers and the elders. According to jw.org this is the definition of the word "congregation":

A group of people gathered together for a particular purpose or activity. In the Hebrew Scriptures, it generally refers to the nation of Israel. In the Christian Greek Scriptures, it refers to individual congregations of Christians but more often to the Christian congregation in general.—1Ki 8:22; Ac 9:31; Ro 16:5.

But that definitiom in itself creates a problem. Let me explain.

God has used in the past physical locations of safety to shelter his faithful ones. In the case of Noah, God sheltered a congragation of 8 people in a physical location called the Ark. In the time of the Exodus he instructed Moses and the nation of Israel to hide in their physical inner rooms during the 10th plague while the angel of the Lord was attacking the Egyptian households killing their firstborns. We read in Exodus 12:23:

Then when Jehovah passes through to plague the Egyptians and sees the blood on the upper part of the doorway and on the two doorposts, Jehovah will certainly pass over the entrance, and he will not allow the plague of death, to enter into your houses"

I hope you can see where I'm going with this verse, in Noah's days the congregation where the 8 people but the Ark was the "inner rooms" , in Moses' time the Israelite families where the congregation but their actual houses served as the inner rooms, With that being the case then the individual congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses can not be the ones being saved as well as also their place of salvation. A physical calamity requires a physical place of protection. A congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses standing in the middle of an open field offers little protection during the time when God's destroying powers are unleashed over mankind.

There was a time that the Watchtower was making the claim that the Kingdom Halls protected brothers and sisters during times of physical disasters and social breakdown and by doing so they were insinuating that these physical locations will be our "future inner rooms". This idea was promoted by circuit overseers and year books but never became an official teaching for obvious reasons. Since then they have sold so many kingdom Halls around the world and by doing so no one guarantees there will a kingdom hall to run to during the time of the end. And that brings us to our times and the current confusion that the "inner rooms" are the actual congregations which makes no sense.

This nonsense has led to more confusion and dangerous teachings in recent times. For example, in the 2021 district assembly drama we are introduced to a a congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses hiding in an bunker during the Time of the End only to be captured by their enemies at the end.

I can only assume that since a group of Witnesses is seeing hiding in an underground bunker, this bunker serves as their "inner room" but unlike the prophetic reassurance in Isaiah 26:20 that inner rooms will provide safety this particular room leads to the arrest and the subsequent death of these Witnesses.

if this "inner room"leads to their arrest and death how can it be said then that these "inner rooms" offered safety in any way? Whether this in an unconscious choice OR an evil plan set in place for the capture of 9 million Jw's at the time of the end I will leave you to decide. The book of Revelation though is quite clear ,many Christians will be captured and be put to death during the time of the End and I wonder if this is a case truth hiding in plain sight or more accurately in plain film setting. We read in Revelation 13:10:

If anyone is meant for captivity, he will go into captivity. If anyone will kill with the sword, he must be killed with the sword. This is where it calls for endurance and faith on the part of the holy ones

Jehovah's Witnesses do not be mislead, the governing body and this organization is planing to hand you over to your enemies during the time of the End. They say truth can hide in plain sight, and this organization by the use of dramas and Watchtower articles are plainly telling you that they plan to hand you over to your persecutors during the End. In fact there is a verse for all those who think they can simply hide in an underground bunker and escape 21st century surveillance and military intelligence.

There is another interesting prophesy about the "inner rooms" that the Watchtower never quotes because it doesn't fit their agenda and Jehovah's Witnesses need to pay attention to for your own benefit and salvation. It is found in Amos 6:9,10 where it says about those last days:

And if ten men are left in one house, they will also die. 10 A relative will come to carry them out and burn them one by one. He will bring their bones out from the house; then he will say to whoever is in the inner rooms of the house, ‘Are there any more with you?’ And he will say, ‘Nobody!’ Then he will say, ‘Keep silent! For it is not the time to make any mention of the name of Jehovah.’”

So according to the Watchtower in the End we will preach the good news about Jehovah and his organisation and be saved by hiding in our inner rooms BUT according these verses in Amos 6:9,10 the reality for all those who profess to be Jehovah's Witnesses will be very different in the near future. There will come a time when jws will keep quite about Jehovah their God while the carry their dead of those "inner rooms"!

SoI which rooms will you choose? The inner rooms of safety or the inner rooms of certain death?

Join me next time where I reveal the actual location of those "inner rooms" of salvation and they are in a place where you never possibly imagined.
