We continue our consideration today of another revised parable that of the "sheep & the goats" which appears in the September Watchtower 2024 under the article "Are you heeding the warnings?" And this parable is particularly important because it ties in with the new understanding of WHEN will the door of salvation close for unbelievers or the "goats" as it was introduced during the Annual Meeting of 2024 by Samuel Herd. Now you will find the link to my article below in the description area, also I'm doing a livestream next Thursday that will cover all these doctrinal changes and quite a few questions that my videos didn't cover, so if you're interested come along next Thursday for the livestream. Now before we delve into this new changes first we need to read the verses in question that can be found in Matthew 25:31-33:
When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit down on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate people one from another, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.33 And he will put the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his left.
The Watchtower 15th March 2015 makes this adjustment:
For many years we thought that people were judged by means of the preaching work in this time of the end. If they accepted our message, they were sheep, and if they rejected the message, they were goats. But in 1995 the way we understood the parable changed. The Watchtower compared Matthew 24:29-31 (read) with Matthew 25:31, 32 (read), and explained that Jesus will judge people during the great tribulation when the Son of man “comes in his glory.”
That diminished the importance of the preaching work but the urgency still remained since the wordly people had to still respond to this preaching and the door for accepting this message was going to close during the beginning of the Great Tribulation like the door of the Ark closed before the Flood. This understanding has now come to an end too, at the Annual Meeting of 2024 and we now see in print that this preaching work will mean didlee squat since the door for survival will be left wide open up to the outbreak of the battle of Armageddon and anyone can make a last minute fake conversion and be saved. So what was the point of the preaching in the first place?
But the part of the parable I want to concentrate today is the
If none of that makes sense anymore in 2024 is because Jehovah's Witnesses got wrong everything that has to do with the "preaching of the Good News " from the beginning and here is why. Jesus commissioned his disciples to do only one kind of preaching that can be found in Matthew 28:19,20
Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things
This is the commission that Jesus left us with upon his departure from this earth, we were meant make disciples of Christ and baptise them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, right? Instead Jws made disciples of Jehovah and baptised in the false baptism of the "Spirit anointed organization" .You know how many times they altered these words over the years don't you? If you don't go and look it up. Now this ministry has lasted for 2000 years and all Christian Churches have been involved in it with different rates of success including Jws.
Now there is another type ministry that hasn't began yet and it is still future ,and this is the preaching of this good news of the Kingdom and this ministry is still future. Yes it is! And I can prove it to you. Matthew 24:14
And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Now this ministry is different from Matthew 28:19,20 you no long make disciples, this is a final warning to all humanity that the kingdom of God is here and it will replace all governments on earth. Jehovah's Witnesses jumped the gun and starting preaching the good news of the Kingdom based on the false assumption that Christ came invisibly in 1914 and the last days began on that year. This is all wrong! Jesus never came in 1914 and the last days never began in that year. The last days are still future! This preaching of the Good News will only last 3 1/2 years and will be followed by the Great Tribulation. If you want to know more about this preaching watch my next video which is all about that ministry.
